Affiliate Disclosure
The short version: Some links on Ember & Yard are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. These commissions help keep the site running.
How affiliate links work here
When we link to a product or retailer, we may use a special tracking link provided by an affiliate program. If you buy through that link, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.
In compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements, we disclose this relationship clearly: a short disclosure appears near the top of articles that contain affiliate links, and individual affiliate links are labeled “(paid link)” where they appear.
Programs we may participate in
We may participate in affiliate programs operated by retailers and affiliate networks. Where required by a program, we will display that program’s specific disclosure language on this page and across the site.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Our editorial independence
- Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend or how we describe a product.
- We do not accept payment for positive coverage.
- We do not claim to have tested products we haven’t tested, and we don’t invent specs, prices, or results.
- If a brand ever provides us a product for free or pays for content, we will disclose that clearly in the relevant article.
Advertising
In the future, the site may display ads served by third-party ad networks. Ads will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content, and advertisers do not influence our guides.
